Cultural Interference
Archival-quality print • Signed option available • Ships in the U.S.

Cultural Interference is a study of how identity shifts when it meets pressure — social, political, historical, or intimate.
What happens when one culture overlays another?
When the inherited self meets the performed self?
When belonging requires distortion?
This work holds that tension without resolving it.

About This Work
Cultural Interference explores the invisible collisions that shape how we move through the world — the interruptions, overlays, and negotiations that occur when cultures, languages, and histories occupy the same space.
Layered marks suggest both disruption and adaptation: what is preserved, what is muted, and what is forced to transform in order to survive.
This painting is not a statement of harmony.
It is a record of contact.

Synopsis
This painting was done as a part of a meditation on social interactions. The driving experience was meeting beautiful people with whom I felt our worlds were not compatible. The intrigue in the experience being, there can be attraction in the midst of incompatibility. The latter does not have to be a driving force in obscuring the beauty of both worlds. ” Abstract painting allows me to dive deep into my mind and convert my feelings and emotions into color and form, I love the fact that what I, as the artist see, is not necessarily what the viewer sees.” – Victor
